Since 2000, every year in various categories of websites nominated by www.websitevanhetjaar.nl from the company Metrixlab. It is the largest online audience award in the Netherlands. All nominated websites are divided into 24 categories, the categories are subdivided from cars to weather & traffic. www.webshop-outlet.nl from Joure was nominated this year for the first time in the advantage category.

From September 28 to November 6, 2015, the Dutch public can vote for their favorite website of the year 2015. There are 2 prizes to be won in each category: the Best en The Most Popular Website of the Year. The website with the highest score becomes Best Website of the Year. The award for Most Popular Website goes to the website with the most votes. The overall winner is the website with the best relative rating and can call itself the 'Website of the Year'.

Webshop-outlet.nl was founded in May 2014 in Joure and has grown enormously in a short period of time. From a small home webshop they have grown into a webshop with its own office space.
